Jeebus, okay you too. You've created an edgy little ditty here. Spike's vocals have that perfect raspy edge to compliment the somewhat mysterious yet creepy end of the world quality in the music. Very nice collab! Clapping

Cool, this is the hardest edged electronic edged track I've heard evansorchid sing on and it works really well. Like the vocal harmonies and lyrics. And those kraftwerk like analog arpeggios. Some cool sound choices too. Nice work Blue and Spike !!

Blue, you've been on my radar for a while. Sometimes I get advance warning there's a new tune, because the track you guys shared before the final release made it onto my watchlist.

I really like songs that tell stories. Probably that's why I was the one guy who liked 'Imaginos' by Blue Oyster Cult ;-) (Wink) Sounded like they had fifteen different sound guys running their console and changed musicians every time there was a coffee break, but the story was cool.

Briefly, here's my answers to your questions:

Collaborator.
Crapped.
Only one.
Paranoid.
Changed pants.
No; it's too busy holding in my internal workins.
Podlike.
Pointed at Donald Sutherland's character and emitted a loud hooting noise.
Hoooooooot!

Briefly, here's my answers to your questions: [and now, here are the questions]

Slowly sweeping 'cross the sky
A tractor beam a mile wide
Levitating scores of hosts up through the stratosphere

What would be your state of mind?

Collaborator. [ref to the DMusic moods/status thingie]

What will you have done when the invasion comes?

Crapped.

Would you sacrifice your life
To save another soul when the invasion comes?

Only one.

..

What would be your state of mind?

Paranoid.

What will you have done when the invasion comes?

Changed pants.

Would you sacrifice your skin
To stop an alien when the invasion comes?

No; it's too busy holding in my internal workins. [ref to Monster Mash]

What would be your state of mind?

Podlike.

What will you have done when the invasion comes?

Kewl Tune.......

I think an addition of some type of time based effect/s on the vocals would add a little more sense of depth and vocal trails - i.e. reverb/delay. Synced to the beat or not – your choice.

Good Job

Okay, first the music is very apropos, all the effects fit into the theme nicely... and I like the vocals, they have an edge to them. That said, this is like a slice of life, but it somehow feels incomplete to me. Maybe because I pay more attention to the lyrics than anything else at first. As a mood piece, it works, or perhaps as part of a larger work-- but it does leave me wanting a bit more. Like another track. Big Grin

The length of the intro is just perfect, I think. A little Alan Parsons, a little "Space Ritual"-era Hawkwind...the rhythms aren't that far removed from Parsons, either, I suppose, but you're due a lot more in the way of credit for rhythmic complexity. There are a few areas in particular where a couple of kind of mechanical-sounding rhythms are layered into what almost sounds like a mathematical formula for effecting the human lower torso, a...say...gut to groin level effect. Maybe "The Complex"-era Blue Man Group? It's kinda like movie-based-on-a-videogame music, but made by people of talent.
